Catherine Bassett is Sr. Product Manger at Rue La La, a leader in the digital private-sale space with a membership base of over 9 million. Passionate about building products and experiences consumers love, she joined Rue La La in early 2014 and is responsible for managing product development across the Rue La La site.

Catherine has almost 20 years of experience in product development, marketing and analytics with fast growing e-commerce companies. Prior to joining Rue La La , Catherine has held several product development positions at e-commerce leaders including VistaPrint and SmarterTravel. Catherine most recently worked as Product Director for Fashion Playtes, a tween fashion commerce & community start up.

Accomplished, talented and visionary leader supported by wide range of expertise in digital marketing, e-commerce operations and technology that merge to drive measurable, sustainable and profitable results for both established and startup corporations including global enterprises. Highly experienced managing major global projects, complex e-commerce projects/development, technical innovation, product distribution, and consumer marketing.

Elaine Boltz, SVP, E-Commerce, TJX Companies

Elaine is the head of e-commerce for TJX, a global off-price retailer which includes TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Homegoods stores. She is leading the global rollout of the companies new online business. Prior to joining TJX, Elaine was SVP, E-Commerce at Chico's FAS and CMO and head of strategy at Ann Taylor, Inc. Prior to joining Ann Taylor, Elaine was a member of the retail practice for the Boston Consulting Group. Her education includes an MBA from Harvard Business School and BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Jessica GelmanJess Gelman, VP of Customer Marketing & Strategy, New England Patriots

As The Kraft Sports Group’s VP of Customer Marketing & Strategy, Gelman leads multiple marketing, operating and strategic planning functions for the New England Patriots, New England Revolution, Gillette Stadium, and Patriot Place.

Since joining the organization in 2002, Jessica has created and implemented an analytics-focused strategy for understanding and marketing to customers across the organization. Her responsibilities encompass four areas: leading the ticketing and retail business lines; driving the customer marketing function including database marketing, market research, branding, analytics and direct marketing; building new businesses to extend the Patriots’ assets; and working closely with other functional areas to further develop business strategy/operations.

Prior to the Kraft Sports Group, Gelman worked as a strategy consultant at the Mitchell Madison Group. Her primary areas of focus were the entertainment and financial services industries.

Gelman co-founded and continues to chair the annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytics conference, the first and largest analytically focused sports conference. In 2012, Fast Company ranked the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference third among its Most Innovative Companies in Sports, trailing only the NFL and MLB Advance Media.


Chad GronbachChad Gronbach, Senior Technology Specialist, Microsoft

Chad Gronbach is the Chief Technology Architect at the Microsoft Technology Center Boston (located in Cambridge, MA) and has been with Microsoft since 2001. He is a graduate of computer science from Northeastern University and has over 20 years of business systems experience. At Microsoft he interacts with executives and business decision makers to and share the vision of how Microsoft's solutions can be used to provide business value to their organizations.

 

Ben GrossmanBen Grossman, VP, Strategy Director, Jack Morton Worldwide

Ben Grossman is a marketing and advertising strategist with a specialty in digital, social media and emerging technology. He has worked to set strategy and develop initiatives for brands including Subway Restaurants, P&G, Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation, Bombardier and Liberty Mutual. Ben has also been tapped to present at the Consumer Electronics Show, for Microsoft and at numerous other trade events. Reporters from publications including Yahoo! News, Mashable.com, PSFK and BtoB Magazine have relied on him for his expertise regarding marketing best practices, trends and industry news.

Currently, Ben works as the VP, Strategy Director at Jack Morton Worldwide, a global brand experience agency that is part of the Interpublic Group of Companies (NYSE: IPG). There, he leads strategy across top accounts and serves on the agency's Global Creative Council, dedicated to elevating the agency's strategic and creative output.

Dr. Jesse Harriott is currently Chief Analytics Officer at Constant Contact. Prior to Constant Contact, Jesse was Chief Knowledge Officer at Monster Worldwide where he started their analytics division and created the Monster Employment Index in more than 30 countries. He also led Web analytics, business intelligence, competitive intelligence, data governance, marketing research, and sales analytics depts. for Monster. He has advised many private and public organizations, including the White House, the Department of Labor, the European Commission, and the Federal Reserve. He has authored several publications, including the books Win With Advanced Business Analytics (Wiley) and Finding Keepers (McGraw-Hill).

 

describe the imageSteve Hopley, Senior Manager for Big Data Programs, MassTech Collaborative

Steve is responsible for developing leadership initiatives and supporting programs to expand Massachusetts' big data ecosystem. These programs are driven out of the Innovation Institute, the economic development division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. This includes convening academia, industry and public sector organizations to make recommendations regarding how to educate and prepare a workforce for careers in big data in Massachusetts - as well as novel approaches to retaining top university graduates in the fields of computer science, mathematics and entrepreneurship.

Adam has primary responsibility for building and evolving the media offering at the agency. He’s served as a key member of the executive management team of Havas Media since 2008. A 20-year veteran of the digital and media industry, Adam is a regular speaker at industry events, contributor to publications and in 2013 was named an OMMA MediaPost All-Star for media.

Adam guides the agency’s North American efforts across all channel investments, leading all partner and vendor relationships and charting the path for our product offerings, including programmatic (Affiperf), social (Socialyze), mobile (Mobext), search and technology. Prior to joining Havas in 2005, Adam spent five years as VP, Media Director at A&G and worked in media at Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and at Houston, Effler. Adam enjoys spending time with his family and skiing steep terrain in remote locations.

 

Ed MacriEd Macri, SVP, Marketing & Analytics, Wayfair

Ed Macri joined Wayfair in 2007 to launch its enterprise Business Intelligence group which he oversees today, as well as Brand, Direct, and Loyalty Marketing across Wayfair's brands and geographies. Prior to Wayfair, Ed held marketing positions at IBM-Emptoris, an enterprise supply chain software provider, and Digitas, where he advised major brands including AT&T and Bayer. He started his career in software development and product management at Bain & Company. Ed holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from MIT Sloan School of Management.

 

Amit PhansalkarAmit Phansalkar, Chief Data Officer, MassMutual

Amit Phansalkar, Chief Data Officer, leads data science, data strategy and vision for MassMutual Financial. He heads the data venture for MassMutual to create a data ecosystem to help drive innovation in products and consumer engagement models. Mr. Phansalkar has more than 15 years of experience driving innovation and building products using big data and most recently served as the global head of data sciences and advanced analytics at Millward Brown Digital. Prior to that, he was a Co-Founder and VP analytics at Cognika, where he created predictive analytics products utilizing a combination of structured and unstructured data with applications in defense, ad-tech and healthcare industries. Amit is a data evangelist trying to solve complex challenges and representing complexity using disparate data sources.

 

thomas spicerTom Spicer, CEO & Founder, OpenBridge

Thomas is the CEO and Founder of Openbridge, a data logistics platform. Prior to founding Openbridge he was the Managing Director of VML’s Boston office. For the past 15 years he has led numerous CRM, social, mobile, and web platform builds for Dunkin' Donuts, Baskin-Robbins, General Motors, Delta Airlines, AT&T, Pfizer and Serono. He has a genuine passion for understanding complex customer challenges more deeply while striving for simplicity. Thomas is a practitioner of "applied innovation", the art and science of building practical solutions that solve hard problems. Tom enjoys spending free time with his family, especially his 10 week old golden retrieve Bear.
